Here’s a glimpse of everything that has been going on at Mont Blanc this summer – a complete exterior makeover of the main chalet, a new learning park with a brand new magic carpet, new grooming machines as well as the modernization of the snowmaking system. What a fantastic way to celebrate Mont Blanc’s 60th anniversary!
Makeover of the chalet
The main chalet has been completely re-painted giving it a brand new look! Several rooms will be renovated in the main lodge at the base of the mountain. These renovations are part of the master plan of annual improvements.
A new learning park and a new magic carpet
A new area designed specifically for beginners has been laid out. This area will provide a safe environment with more space and a smother slope which will ease the learning experience for both new skiers and snowboarders. As an added bonus, the installation of a new magic carpet, located directly at the base of the mountain will be easier to access for all!
New grooming vehicles and modernization of the snowmaking system
With the addition of two new grooming machines to its fleet, Mont Blanc will have the equipment needed to deliver the best conditions ever. Upgrading its snowmaking system will allow the production of more snow, more rapidly right from the start of the season.
Mont Blanc celebrates 60 years!
Skiing at Mont Blanc began during the 1956-57 season. That’s right… it’s already been 60 years! The 2016/17 Season will be the occasion to celebrate this page of history while enjoying the best of what winter has to offer!A big celebration is planned for January 2017, details will follow!
