Here comes Santa Claus!
Over the next few weeks, Saint Nick himself will be making appearances across the region to spread joy to young and old. Until December 24, visit Carrefour du Nord in Saint-Jérôme or Place Rosemère to meet magical characters, talk to Santa, and take pictures. Don’t forget your wish list! Santa will also touch down in downtown Saint-Colomban on December 9. There, he’ll be the star attraction at the much-loved Christmas market and parade, a local tradition.
And on December 19, you can see Santa parade through the streets of Oka alongside his elves and Star Fairy for some Christmas magic before the big day arrives. Or, don a red hat and some running shoes to take part in the Santa Claus Race in Val-David on December 17. Finally, Father Christmas is eager to great you in his magical Coca-Cola Holiday Caravan at Sommet Saint-Sauveur on December 15. Don’t miss his appearances in the region—he only comes down from the North Pole for one month every year!
Light up your holidays
The best way to get in the holiday spirit? Visiting a Laurentian village decked out in Christmas lights. All December long, visit the village of Sainte-Thérèse to finish your holiday shopping at the Sainte-Thérèse Christmas Village. You’ll enjoy tons of great programming, like Illuminated Fridays. Sip on complementary hot chocolate and marshmallows in a magical setting filled with Christmas lights. In Saint-Sauveur, local stores have decorated Rue Principale with festive ornaments and garlands, which you can admire as you take a walk after a great meal.
You’ll find even more festivities at the Sentier des cimes Laurentides treetop walk in Mont-Blanc. From December 26 to January 7, enjoy holiday fun like an outdoor firepit, mulled wine, activities, and more! The site is sure to charm with its giant snowflakes and bountiful decorations. Or, why not go skating at the Jardins de glace by the Saint-Bernard Chapel in Mont-Tremblant from December 21? Your family will love gliding across the illuminated rink as you admire the amazing ice sculptures. It’s the perfect backdrop for magical holiday memories.

You can enjoy dazzling holiday shows and concerts in the Laurentians all December long. In Boisbriand, the Petit Théâtre du Nord is putting on its Les Veillées Festives show every Thursday, Friday and Saturday until December 16. You’ll get carried away by the spectacle, which combines storytelling, songs, memories, and history from the Laurentians. With two stages in Sainte-Thérèse, Odyscène has a variety of programming on offer in December. Family-friendly Christmas shows and concerts are running all month long.
And Théâtre Gilles-Vigneault in Saint-Jérôme will put you in the holiday spirit with musicals like Mary Poppins from December 17 to 19 and Noël, une tradition en chanson on December 21.
