Just 45 minutes from Montreal, the Laurentians offer visitors an array of magnificent landscapes to discover. The region’s inspiring surroundings and bustling villages make it the perfect destination for a successful business trip. And here’s the proof.
With its Roman looks, its idyllic location and highly competitive prices, the Auberge de La Tour du Lac was the perfect place for the two of us to escape to celebrate our anniversary. But little did we know what the owners, Mario and Nathalie, had in store for us. We could see how delighted they were to welcome us into their inn with its old-fashioned charm. Aficionados of small tourist establishments and good food themselves, they bought this old bed and breakfast in 2003 and turned it into a real success!
Everything about the place encourages relaxation and romance, from the magnificent, restful site to the comfortable, country-style rooms with hot tubs, fireplaces and every amenity one could wish for, including the continental breakfast delivered in a basket to our room. Not to mention the spas, the sauna, the outdoor fireplace, and the excellent six-course set menu dinner we enjoyed at the Auberge. Possibly the best flank steak I’ve ever tasted! Refined dishes prepared from local ingredients, served by smiling, attentive staff, in an absolutely charming vintage interior. The countless treasures from the past preserved in this old-time beauty were a true feast for the eyes, from the dining room to our room overlooking the majestic Lac des Sables.
It’s hard to know where to begin when describing the warm, attentive service we received from Mario, who seems to take care of everything down to the last detail! It may have been the famous 50% discount offered year-round from Sunday to Thursday that first caught our attention, but we will be coming back for everything else. Because nothing can match the excellent value offered by the Auberge La Tour du Lac – except the warm antique decor, the restful ambiance, the amazing food, and the warm welcome given to us by our hosts, who treated us like family members!
The Saint-Sauveur Valley is the ultimate destination for a winter vacation, and Manoir Saint-Sauveur is the ideal spot to enjoy it all. Located in the heart of one of the most charming villages of the Laurentians, the 4-star hotel benefits from its proximity to everything and offers many activities and services right under its roof. The perfect combination for a family escape filled with outdoor fun, a romantic getaway, a gourmet jaunt with friends or a business function.
With 250 rooms, suites and condos in 5 pavilions, Manoir Saint-Sauveur is the largest hotel of the Laurentians offering such luxury and refined elegance. We were totally charmed by the warm atmosphere, the gourmet cuisine, the recreational facilities and the personalized service. The professional and knowledgeable staff, the valuable help of the concierge and the attentive service of the “Club des Petits” entertainment team made us feel at home.
Whether for the relaxed ambiance of the Boudoir Lounge and its European bistro menu, the Ambiance restaurant offering dishes made with local products or the gourmet brunch served at La Tablée, everyone agrees that Manoir Saint-Sauveur is passionate about great food. Mind and body are also very important: try a unique comforting and rejuvenating sensory experience at the spa and take advantage of the salt-water pool and outdoor Jacuzzi.
We really appreciated staying so close to the ski hills, tube sliding, skating and snowshoeing trails…all the while being at walking distance from the village! Day and night, we enjoyed skiing at a few of the nearby mountains and skating on a superb iced trail in the middle of the forest…right in the village! Cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and many other activities are also offered nearby, as well as numerous restaurants, art galleries, ski museum and outlet stores, located only a few steps from the hotel. Unforgettable moments of pure pleasure for the whole family!
With a group of avid skiers and outdoor enthusiasts, I was headed to Mont-Tremblant. Our destination, the highest summit of the Laurentians, is also renowned as the “#1 Ski Resort in the North American East “. We were looking forward to enjoy all the sports and cultural activities offered right at the mountain and in the other sectors of Tremblant.
Everyone, young and old, from thrill seekers to those looking for a relaxing experience, found just the right activity to suit their tastes: ice climbing, visit to the spa, festive nightlife at one of the bars or casino, and evenings by the fireplace in the comfort of our condos and chalets. The kids particularly enjoyed the new Tam-Tam Zone, the mountainside tubing evenings and skating next to the chapel.
With their many cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails, the Mont-Tremblant National Park and Centre de ski de fond Mont-Tremblant allowed us to discover a true outdoor paradise. The latter, located on the site of the Domaine Saint-Bernard ecotourism park, offers fatbike rentals. You must absolutely try this brilliant winter cycling activity!
With its charming inns, small boutiques and a church converted into a concert hall, Mont-Tremblant is a picturesque village. Its downtown area has a charming heritage atmosphere. Find unique souvenirs and gifts in the Petit Hameau shops and take advantage of exclusive savings on brand names in the outlet stores. Mont-Tremblant is also renowned for its gastronomy, with a variety of restaurants, cafes, bistros and bars serving local and international flavors.
In other words, Mont-Tremblant is the ultimate destination, with activities and adventures for all tastes!
What a unique sensory experience our little getaway at the Esterel Resort allowed us to enjoy! As soon as we arrived, we immediately realized that, following a major makeover of nearly 60 million dollars, the exceptional resort is a real gem. Its prime location in the heart of nature, its high quality facilities and its proximity to countless activities contributed to moments of relaxation and pleasure that will be long remembered by our friends and us.
Barely an hour after leaving Montréal, we discovered the two superb high-end boutique hotels, with a total of 200 suites designed with a contemporary touch and distinctive ambiance, each one equipped with a kitchenette and fireplace. We opted for a suite at the Émotion hotel, Gold award winner at the Grands Prix du tourisme québécois in 2014. A trendy ambiance, a private outdoor Jacuzzi and large windows overlooking the Nordic spa are just a few examples of our roomy suites’ features.
We also took advantage of all the attractions offered by the Laurentian complex. And there are many, as the Esterel Resort is a destination in itself: two heated pools, four hot tubs, saunas, an outdoor fireplace, a health and beauty center, three restaurants with very different culinary experiences and much more. Our brief jaunt gave us the opportunity to appreciate the variety of flavors and atmospheres proposed: from the bistro menu in a relaxed ambiance to fine dining in the chic dining room.
Thanks to the activity center with rental services on site, we enjoyed several activities offered nearby: cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and skating on an 8-km skating rink on Lake Masson. Next time, maybe we’ll discover one of the nearby ski resorts, or stroll through the charming village of Saint-Sauveur, only 20 minutes away. Well…here’s a great excuse to go back for a romantic getaway…and this time stay at Évolution hotel!
Gold award winner at the Grands Prix du Tourisme Québécois 2012, Estérel Suites, Spa & Lac offers a sensory experience second to none. Luxury, comfort and pleasure define this Laurentian jewel, which has once again come back to life thanks to its new first-rate facilities, on a site known for its exceptional natural surroundings for more than 50 years.
One hour from Montréal and just 20 minutes from Saint-Sauveur, the resort now offers two possibilities for lodging with the recent opening of a second boutique hotel. Both in a contemporary style, each with its distinctive decor and vast suites all equipped with central fireplaces, picture windows, glass-walled showers and kitchenettes. Some are equipped with extra-large beds, outdoor private spas and spectacular views. The executive suites come with two bedrooms and two bathrooms!
Three restaurants offer a range of fine cuisine: from the chic dining room to the hot-stone grill restaurant, as well as the bistro-bar. For a unique culinary experience, the chef’s table invites guests to enjoy a gastronomic meal even in the kitchen! The Nordic spa guarantees some wonderful moments of relaxation with pools, outdoor whirlpool bath with central fireplace, and saunas. Just right for that romantic getaway!
Trails for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, 6-km ice-skating trail and proximity to downhill ski centers make it the holiday destination, par excellence. The 10 conference rooms able to welcome up to 400 persons for banquets make it the right place for business meetings, weddings and group activities. To the numerous packages is added a special program to highlight the arrival of spring.
Located on the summit of the mountain in a unique environment, Hôtel Spa Mont Gabriel is the only “ski-in ski-out” complex in the foothills of the Laurentians offering panoramic views over the Valley of Saint-Sauveur. It’s olde-world charm and welcoming personnel are suitably enhanced by the number of activities offered onsite and the quality of its cuisine; one of the best in Sainte-Adèle!
For family holidays or corporate or social events, several types of lodging are available as well as 14 conference and banquet rooms, most with fireplaces. From standard rooms to the most luxurious, all come with free Wi-Fi, flatscreen TV with DVD player. Just steps away are any number of activities: outdoor fireplace, downhill skiing (day and night), skating, sliding, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. With the villages of Sainte-Adèle and Saint-Sauveur and other ski slopes close by, the list gets longer still: cross-country skiing on the linear park, tube sliding, dogsledding, snowmobiling, cinema, outlet stores, restaurants… Numerous packages allow guests to profit to the maximum, particularly during the March break.
Hôtel Spa Mont Gabriel is pleased to announce that it will be starting a major renovation project as of the end of April, involving an investment of around $10M!
Located 45 minutes from Montréal, Fiddler Lake Resort offers a fully catered resort holiday in an exclusive 250-acre domain set along the banks of magnificent Fiddler Lake. A peaceful haven nestling in the heart of the Valley of Saint-Sauveur, the largest night-skiing area in Canada, with a wide range of activities nearby. Considering how much snow there is, it’s time to come up North and enjoy it!
A vast virgin forest surrounding the fifty luxurious, log cabin-style cottages is perfect for hiking and snowshoeing. The recreation center adjacent to the skating rink houses a heated indoor pool and a games room for both children and adults. Cross-country skiing, dogsledding, ice climbing, tube sliding, ice fishing, snowmobiling and a spa are just some of the activities available on-site or nearby. And the restaurants, bars, art galleries and boutiques and outlets of the charming village of Saint-Sauveur are just 15 minutes away!

Catering services, private chefs and a concierge service all contribute to a worry-free stay.
Its selection of winter packages, particularly during the weeks of the March break, make Fiddler Lake Resort an ideal destination for a holiday with the family or friends, or perhaps a special corporate event.
Looking down from the hillside over majestic Lac des Sables in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Auberge La Tour du Lac has all it takes: a beautiful setting, unique cachet, refined cuisine and an inviting spa. There’s also quite a welcome backed by excellent customer service, and a know-how and price/quality ration that has long made its renown, as demonstrated by the Grands Prix du Tourisme Laurentides Award in 2010. Not to mention the many activities available nearby: downhill and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, skating, dogsledding and ice fishing, plus restaurants, boutiques and entertainment!

The 12 non-smoking rooms are decorated with refinement and include elaborate woodwork, antiques and other objects of value. Everything is arranged to offer the comforts of home: fireplace, double whirlpool bath, rain showers, flat-screen TV and microwave. This warm, romantic atmosphere continues on to the spa, which offers a variety of body care services, as well as the large reception room with its relaxed atmosphere, capable of seating up to 70 guests, and where our fine local produce is served up fresh.
