Where can I take my dog?

Hiking and travelling with a dog is a beautiful experience. Several companies in the Laurentians are thrilled to welcome you and your furry friends. Here are our suggestions for travelling with a dog:

Here are some thoroughly enjoyable, dog-friendly hikes in the Laurentians:

Time for an activity 

The Laurentians are packed with lush nature and dog-friendly attractions:

  • Calvaire d’Huberdeau. Dogs allowed on site. Free admission.
  • À l’Abordage! In Val-David and Mont-Tremblant. Dogs are allowed during the activity and on the shuttle. However, dogs are not allowed in the package with return by bike with À l’Abordage Val-David.
  • Écho Aloha in Sainte-Marguerite-du-Lac-Masson, Saint-Adolphe-d’Howard, and Morin-Heights. Dogs are allowed on the docks and stand-up paddle boards. However, larger dogs must wear paw covers.
  • Plein Air Saint-Adolphe-d’Howard. Dogs are allowed on the hiking trails, at the campsite, and in the yurt. There is an additional cost of $3 per animal per day for the campsite.
  • Maison des Arts Saint-Faustin in Saint-Faustin-Lac-Carré. Dogs allowed inside on a leash. Free admission.
  • ZEC Mitchinamecus in Sainte-Anne-du-Lac. Dogs are allowed on a leash on the ZEC premises, in the cottages and RVs, and at all activities.

Time for a swim

Hot, sunny days are right around the corner! Here are a few suggestions of places for you to swim with your best canine friend:

Camping du Domaine Lausanne in Ivry-sur-le-Lac

There are two dog pools in the river, a dog park, and dogs are also allowed on the hiking trails. The cost of admission is $12.18 + tax per adult, $6.09 + tax per child aged 6 to 17, and free for children 5 and under for non-campers. Dogs are allowed at 10 ready-to-camp sites!

Camping Domaine des Cèdres in Brébeuf

Beautiful, private, dog-friendly beach on the river. Beach access is included for campers. Otherwise, there is an additional cost of $5.50 per dog, $9.50 per adult, and $5.50 per child.

Camping le Fou du Roi in Rivière-Rouge

Dogs are allowed free of charge. There are also allowed on the beach on a leash. Admission is free for dogs, but there is a fee for their owners if they are not staying at the campsite.
