U-pick Apples, Pumpkins, and More!

As the seasons change, take the time to taste and savour Laurentian agrotourism. Uncover the gastronomic treasure trove that is local Laurentian food thanks to the people who pour their passion and know-how into the region’s outstanding agrotourism tradition. Set out to explore beautiful gourmet destinations where you can pick your own apples, pumpkins, and other excellent local products from the Laurentians.

Centre d’interprétation de la courge du Québec in Saint-Joseph-du-Lac

Come harvest your pumpkins and squash with the whole family! The store also sells wines and beer from Vignoble & Microbrasserie Les Vents d’Ange. Le Petit Bistro (outdoor counter) sells snacks, such as squash chips and soup Friday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The band Les Jacks will perform every Sunday, September 12 through October 17, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The fields can be accessed for free from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dogs on a leash are welcome!

Domaine Lafrance in Saint-Joseph-du-Lac

The apple-picking season is underway at Domaine Lafrance! From late August to mid-October, a plethora of activities is available for the perfect outing. You’ll find a store, bistro, cider house and distillery, a petting zoo, and tractor tours on site. Little ones will be delighted to play in the playgrounds, savour a tasty apple slushy, or satisfy their sweet tooth with some barbapapom cotton candy. Product tastings are available upon reservation. Open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Tarterie du verger des musiques in Saint-Joseph-du-Lac

They have the best apple bread in the region! Come for over 17 varieties of pie and many other exclusive products, such as apple bread, pinwheel pastries, sugar tarts, and maple croissants. U-pick available daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Verger Cueillette 640 in Saint-Joseph-du-Lac

Located in the heart of the agrotourism region of the Lower Laurentians, come and enjoy the outdoors and take a breath of fresh air in spellbinding scenery! A dozen or so varieties of apple are available for u-pick. The orchard features tractor rides, a petting zoo, and picnic tables. Get artisanal pressed apple juice or even deliciously warm apple fritters on site. Open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Cidrerie Lacroix in Saint-Joseph-du-Lac

At Cidrerie Lacroix, the apple-themed fun lasts all day! Come and pick your apples from the orchard and discover the ciders in the store: fire ciders, ice ciders, and sparkling ciders. Several of them are renowned in Quebec and worldwide for their unique taste. While you’re there, reserve your table at the gourmet restaurant De la ferme à la table from Thursday to Sunday with a seasonal menu that always showcases products from the orchard or local producers. Open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Labonté de la Pomme – Orchard and Honey House in Oka

This family-owned agrotourism operation invites you to come out for some apples, pears, plums, pumpkins, squash, rhubarb, and kale this u-pick season in September and October. There are activities for the whole family: a picnic area and games for children, a petting zoo, beehive observation, tractor rides, helicopter tours, and much more! What’s more, the sumptuous gourmet menu includes picnic baskets, the Apple Shack Brunch (by reservation), and the bistro takeout menu. Verger Richard Legault in Saint-Joseph-du-Lac

Come and pick 13 varieties of apple from late July to early October! You’ll find a petting zoo, tractor rides, a playground, and a picnic area on site. What’s more, the store sells delicious home-cooked meals for all occasions, from appetizers to desserts. Dogs on a leash are welcome! Open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

La Magie de la Pomme and Bistro La Dent Sucrée in Saint-Eustache

Starting September 4 at La Magie de la Pomme, come and pick your own apples, squash, and pumpkins. During your visit, don’t miss the country store, farmer’s market, the petting zoo, and, new this year, the photo booth and a walk with a friendly goat. Come and taste the new homemade veal sausage sticks at Rest-O-Pomme. The Pumpkin Festival is back this year and will take place October 8 through o 11 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The store is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
