It’s going to be a busy winter at the Laurentians’ ski resorts!

As the birthplace of downhill skiing in North America, the Laurentians have a close connection with this special sport, not least because they’re the perfect setting for it. It’s no coincidence that, today, the region’s many ski resorts are so good! In total, there are 12 of them, and there’s really something for all tastes and preferences. The runs are impressively varied, sometimes even within the same resort. Take a look at what’s to come this winter at our ski resorts:

Plenty to see at Les Sommets

Whether alone, with a partner, family or friends, there are no words to describe the snowy summit experience. Come and discover new sleds with an anti-collision system for the Viking, the downhill roller coaster at Sommet Saint-Sauveur. There’s also a new Prinoth Bison groomer, in addition to automatic snow guns in the Express Ouest run. The versant Avila side features renovations to the main building and the addition of a double carpet lift and automatic barrier in the tubing section. Les Sommets Morin Heights, Gabriel, and Olympia are adding new snow guns to their inventory, while Sommet Morin Heights now has a new wastewater treatment system. Finally, don’t forget Apollo, the new 4-seater Doppelmayr lift with a loading carpet at Sommet Olympia. It all comes together to make the ski season incredible for the whole family. What’s more, there are loads of events in store this winter, whether you ski or not. It’ll all start as soon as the snow arrives!

Ski Mont Habitant, to make beautiful winter memories

With its accessible, safe runs and friendly team, future generations are catching on to the fun of conquering the hill. For its 65th anniversary, Mont-Habitant, a leading family resort located in Saint-Sauveur, is expanding its skiable territory! The 2023-2024 season features the addition of two new glades: the Forêt enchantée and the Sous-bois. The runs end at Le Trappeur restaurant and bar, where you can enjoy family time in a lively, party atmosphere. You can also go night skiing to extend your day. The team of certified instructors is excited for the season to start. From introductory to development, the classes available cover all ages. And, last, there is on-site accommodation. This winter, come and make lasting memories!

Ski Chantecler has everything you need!

With 22 runs for all levels, Chantecler ski resort awaits for an incredible ski season! Learn new techniques and improve your skills with lessons from the resort’s ski school and its team of energetic instructors. This winter, try something new. The Tout-Terrain program includes an introduction to different runs, glades, and moguls in addition to coaching on technique. Already know what you’re doing? The new Performance class is an opportunity to develop on different types of runs. Finally, there is a new, parent-focused program: Ski Mom and Ski Dad classes. These development classes are held during your children’s classes. Become a better skier this season and have an amazing winter!

Belle Neige ski resort is ready for you

If you’re looking for sun, Belle Neige ski resort guarantees a full day of it, with no wind at all thanks to the position of the mountain. With its 20 runs of all levels and four chairlifts, which reduce wait time at the bottom of the hill, skiers of all ages from beginner to expert are sure to find what they’re looking for. For the little ones, the magical Sentier des toutous marries skiing with wonder with over 2,000 stuffies, plush toys, and figurines. Older kids can test their limits and quench their thirst for adrenaline at the snow park, on skis or a snowboard. The ski resort offers a variety of ways of enjoying the mountain from a different perspective: through backcountry hiking! Climb the mountain with your synthetic skins through incredible trails in the woods, then go down the hill on the groomed runs or through the mountain’s “backcountry” sector. Then, to finish your day on a high, head to the Chalet des skiers for a well-deserved bite to eat, or enjoy one of the Ski que c’est drôle at Bar La Descente, back this year for the winter!

Discover Vallée Bleue, family resort

Discover a budget-friendly ski resort that stands out by its originality and family focus! This year, Vallée bleue, family resort, is celebrating its 60th anniversary, and there is loads of novelty in store: a new glade, an express lunch counter for a fast, delicious, and practical culinary experience, a musical après-ski with traditional live music on Fridays and Saturdays, in addition to a new logo for the snow school. To encourage learning, the resort has set up beginner runs, themed glades for children, and a snow park for those who love a challenge. Beginners and experts alike are sure to marvel at the conifer islands and fairytale scenery of their adventures through easy, difficult, very difficult, and extreme runs. Not to mention the magic carpet and snow park, designed for skiers of all ages to explore or to put their skills to the test! What’s more, Mont Avalanche’s ski school is proud to have about twenty certified instructors to teach you basic techniques and help you improve in a safe environment. A variety of package deals, classes, and lessons are available to meet the needs of both children and adults. Lastly, the family resort has a range of activities for you to enjoy and go back, time and time again. Snow biking, snowshoeing, and backcountry hiking are winter gems to be discovered or rediscovered!

The ever-impressive Mont Blanc

Are you excited to dust off your skis or snowboard? With the season around the corner, Mont Blanc is ready to fill it with new techniques, to improve your mountain experience! A second loading carpet has been added at the bottom of the Faustin lift. It makes fewer stops, and it’s faster, safer, and more comfortable. What’s more, the mountain is equipped with new automatic snow guns and a new groomer, meaning the site can be ready earlier. Using this technology, you can ski on high-quality runs starting December 2! Explore 43 easy, difficult, very difficult, and extreme runs to get back in shape on your skis and develop your technique throughout the season. Like every year, there are two restaurants and a cafeteria to help you refuel after a long day on the slopes. For a ski in ski out experience, choose from several types of accommodation: hotel room or suite, studio on the mountain, standard or luxury fully-furnished condo!

Live the Tremblant experience

Since it opened in 1939, Tremblant has been an exceptional skiing destination where nature, mountain, and fun become one. For the upcoming ski season, after completing the key steps set by the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS), Station Mont Tremblant invites you to the Women’s FIS downhill skiing World Cup, scheduled for 2 and 3 December 2023 in Tremblant. A vibrant atmosphere, unforgettable moments, and close competition between the best female slalom skiers in the world… Don’t miss the opportunity to see this large-scale event and get your tickets now! What’s more, the 2023-2024 season will feature RFID technology. Access to all lifts will now involve passing through a gate which reads the information on skier and snowboarder passes via Radio Frequency IDentification.
