Spend a family day snow tubing
Don your warmest gear and come for a fun-filled family day of snow tubing! Glissades des Pays d’en Haut in Piedmont offers a variety of sledding options: rafting, Tornade, Bobsleigh, or the Vortex360 for bigger thrills! Head over to Sommet Saint-Sauveur – versant Avila only a few steps from the ski slopes for some snow tubing fun. Get together to enjoy several runs and time around a huge fieldstone fireplace in a comforting atmosphere. Note that both sites are also open in the evening.
For a memorable dog sledding moment
Head out for adventure with your family across kilometres of trails on a dog sled! Whether with Ski Doux, Laurel Aventure Nature, Tremblant Activity Centre, Action Tremblant, Alaskan Aventure, or Kanatha-Aki Nature Centre, the wild landscapes of the Laurentians are sure to take your breath away! Local businesses are offering a variety of packages, from a basic intro to a package deal including all kinds of activities to put together a day to remember in the company of a pack of adorable huskies.
Ready, set, skate!
Come and skate with your family at the region’s parks, trails, and ice loops. Introduce your children to a new sport they might love. Some skating centres even offer the possibility of skating at night for a one-of-a-kind experience as soon as night falls.
Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing fun in the forest!
Cross-country ski or snowshoe through maintained trails in the parks and admire the snowy forest. For an introduction, enroll your children in one of the Laurentians’ cross-country ski schools. The activity and equipment rentals are free at Parc national d’Oka and at Parc national du Mont-Tremblant for children under the age of 18.
For an adrenaline rush even in the winter!
Experience a thrilling adventure, even in the middle of winter! Take advantage of Tyroparc’s Family Package and come and play on the mega-ziplines and via ferrata, in between hiking and climbing rock walls. What’s more, loads of activities are available to fill up your day, like snowshoeing, fatbiking, and snowmobiling. Jump into the adventure with both feet!
Shred the slopes as a family
Come and ski at the Laurentians’ incredible mountains! Several package deals are available by age, level, and taste. Come and meet qualified ski instructors to get started in the sport or to learn advanced techniques. Some ski resorts have a snow park so that even the little ones can tackle, turns, jumps, and speed. A wonderful activity to initiate your children to the joys of winter and to get together for some family time!
Explore winter by fatbike!
With your older children, try the experience of winter biking and discover the joys of winter from a new angle. Reserve in advance at Parc National d’Oka to access trails in the heart of nature or at Espresso Sports in Sainte-Adèle, near the P’tit Train du Nord. For a guided fatbike or e-fatbike tour, make a reservation at D-Tour in Mont-Tremblant. Finally, in the same sector, rent your bike at Expérience SK. No experience needed; fun guaranteed!
