Fall is the perfect season to play in the outdoors! In the Laurentians, there’s no shortage of options, with nature excursions, adrenaline rushes, activities out of the ordinary, and breathtaking landscapes on the agenda. Why not prolong your getaway and take the opportunity to stay in the region’s inns, hotels and resorts? Here are a few outdoor activity ideas to see the fall colours from a different angle:

Aventures Plein Air in Saint-Hippolyte

Another great way to make the most of the colours is by reserving your spot for a guided ATV tour! Looking for something new? Find it in a Jeep outing.For the past 15 years, Aventures Plein Air, located on the shores of Lac Morency, has organized a wide variety of activities and packages to fully immerse visitors in the Laurentian outdoors. Les Écuries du Chantecler in Sainte-Adèle

Come visit the mountains of Sainte-Adèle on horseback! Les Écuries du Chantecler is an equestrian centre located in the Laurentians. Several activities are offered on site: horseback rides, pony rides, and training. Reservations required.

Acro-Nature at Sommet Morin Heights

This tree-to-tree adventure in the heart of the Laurentian forest is nothing short of memorable in the fall. Complete the Grand Parcours’ four circuits for a wacky, larger-than-life experience with the Zone ultime! Acro-Nature also has a Junior-Zoomer circuit designed specifically for youth aged 6 and up. Admission includes access to the mini-golf course and the picnic area. Open weekends and holidays until October 18.

Frisbee golf activity at Centre de ski Vallée Bleue in Val-David

For a successful fall outing with the family, try frisbee golf or disc golf and hiking on the mountain! The basic principles of frisbee golf are very similar to those of traditional golf: for each hole (net), there are a starting point and a net between 60 and 160 metres apart. Throw the frisbee from the starting point, pick it up where it lands, and throw it again until it lands in the net. The person with the lowest number of throws at the end of the course wins! Until October 12,Thursday to Monday, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Ranch La Douceur in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts

Discover the magnificent fall landscapes on horseback! Ranch La Douceur offers a variety of equestrian activities, year-round: horseback rides, miniature farm visit, classical and western riding lessons, and pony rides. The ranch is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Tyroparc in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts

Come and experience an adrenaline rush in a breathtaking scenery at Tyroparc this fall! Experience the La Découverte package with a via ferrata circuit and two mega-ziplines. Discover the Laurentians’ mountains, lakes, and rivers from a bird’s eye view with Air Panorama! Air Panorama is a specialized ultralight flight school that offers familiarization flights as well as training for ultralight pilot licenses. Come and experience a familiarization flight. Discover the majestic, colourful landscapes on horseback or by zipline at Kanatha-Aki Nature Centre. Soar through the forest with 18 ziplines! Plus, take advantage of a variety of horseback riding packages to discover the majestic Laurentian mountains.

Héli-Tremblant in Mont-Tremblant

Héli-Tremblant, a helicopter rental service, offers panoramic flights over the region that will take your breath away. Packages include a stop at the summit of a mountain with a spectacular view; or, get dropped off at the restaurant for a lavish meal with the lovers’ package. Flights with commentary in French or in English. Open daily!

Croisières Mont-Tremblant

Croisières Mont-Tremblant invites you to discover breathtaking landscapes in a magical setting provided by the Laurentian mountains. Make the most of the magnificent surroundings and quiet of the lake during the 60-minute cruise, or book the Grand Manitou II for a private departure. Daily departures at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. until October 18.

Skyline Luge at Tremblant Holiday Resort

No matter your age, experience level, or limitations, you’re in for a blast with a luge run, combining go-kart and toboggan. Originally from New Zealand, the concept is the first of its kind in North America! Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. until September 27.

Make yourself comfortable in the gondola and enjoy the view for the few minutes it takes to reach the top of Mont Tremblant! With the Laurentians clad in their fall colours, the view of Tremblant Lake and the surrounding valleys is nothing short of remarkable. Every day from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. until October 18.

Action Tremblant in La Conception

Action Tremblant is a true haven of outdoor activities, no matter the season! Breathe in the fresh air and make the most of the variety of activities offered on site: guided side-by-side vehicle (4×4) tours, zipline circuits, and e-fatbike rentals. Visit the farm animals while you’re there. Reserve by phone or online on the website for all activities, except for the miniature farm.
