Meet Santa Claus!

Over the next few weeks, Saint Nick himself will be making appearances across the region to spread joy to young and old. Until December 24, visit to Carrefour du Nord in Saint-Jérôme or Place Rosemère to meet magical characters, talk to Santa, and take pictures. On December 17, Kris Kringle will be sitting down to feast at Cidrerie Lacroix. Enjoy a delicious breakfast with friends or family in a festive atmosphere. On December 18, you can see Santa parade through the streets of Oka alongside Star Fairy and his elves for some Christmas magic before the big day arrives. On the evening of December 19, meet Mr. Claus in his holiday caravan at Sommet Saint-Sauveur. Finally, Santa will be greeting little ones on the walking trails and among the lights at the Route des Gerbes d’Angelica, where you can bask in a nostalgic atmosphere that evokes Christmases of old until January 7.

Towns and Villages Are Alight With the Magic of Christmas

The holidays just wouldn’t be the same without Christmas lights! To admire the sparkling spectacle, stroll through the village of Sainte-Thérèse. There, you’ll find decorations illuminating the Place du Village and nearby buildings. The businesses of Saint-Sauveur have decked rue Principale with festive ornaments and garlands. It’s the ideal spot for getting in the holiday spirit while walking off a big dinner. Visiting the Mont-Tremblant area? Stop downtown at Espace Public to admire a new interactive sound and light installation called Echoes – A Voice From Uncharted Waters. At Tremblant Resort, Place Saint-Bernard has been transformed for the holidays with decorations and a huge tree filled with ornaments. For even more Christmas lights, check out the lights of Mont-Laurier, where residents compete to have the best-decorated house in town.

Get a healthy dose of Christmas nostalgia by attending a show or concert in the region. At the Petit Théâtre du Nord in Boisbriand, liven up your evenings until December 17 with Les Veillées Festives, a theatrical revue combining storytelling, wild music, and the history of the Laurentians. On December 17 in Oka, enjoy the Christmas in the Time of Jean-Sébastien Bach concert by the Da Capo choir and chamber orchestra. Located in Saint-Jérôme, Théâtre Gilles-Vigneault is putting on the Noël, une tradition en chanson concert on December 21. This musical extravaganza is perfect for awakening your inner child! To the north in Saint-Sauveur, Giorgia Fumanti’s Christmas magic concert will take place on December 17. This talented soprano will be joined by the Saint-Sauveur youth choir and the Académie Lafontaine choir. An enchanting evening is sure to be in store! Last but not least, visit Val-David for Christmas concerts by vocal ensemble Ô Chœur des Glaces on December 17 and 18. Their renditions of classic and traditional songs are guaranteed to put you in the holiday spirit!
