A major announcement for “Le P’tit Train du Nord” Linear Park
Desjardins Group is injecting $600,000 over three years for the “P’tit Train du Nord” users! Specifically, Desjardins has committed to help improve signage, safety barriers and the patrol service. Currently, nearly 60 patrollers ride the trail from Bois-des-Fillion to Mont-Laurier to provide information and assistance to visitors. Moreover, CNN TRAVEL named the “P’tit Train du Nord” Linear Park to its world’s top 10 “Cycling routes that’ll take your breath away.” What a wonderful recognition!
Welcome centre facilities revamped at parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles
In summer 2018, the park will have the pleasure of welcoming you to its new exploration centre at parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles. This building, which is a LEED Gold Certified river discovery centre, will house a spacious, bright lobby with a reception desk and café-bistro, a permanent exhibit, an ecology laboratory that will be open to the public and, of course, its famous boat rental centre. In addition, several multipurpose rooms can be rented for events of any kind. This major project, which represents investments close to $15 M, will certainly enable the park to enhance the experience of its large clientele.
A springtime of renewal at Nid’Otruche
The store expansion will triple the current floor area. People will be able to experience a Safari Jeep in the middle of a store filled with Nico stuffed animals. There will be sections for meat and tastings, body care products made from ostrich oil and another section full of souvenirs. More space means more products and choices for customers who are always on the lookout for what’s new. With more than 200 ostriches, emus, rheas and many other small animals, this agritourism farm welcomes nearly 50,000 visitors annually. Visit Nid’Otruche!
Tapas evenings at Vignoble Rivière du Chêne
Located less than 30 minutes from Montréal, Vignoble Rivière du Chêne, which produces a dozen specialties, has established itself as a major tourist destination for lovers of fine food and good wine. From the magnificent terrace overlooking the vineyards, take part in a revamped wine tourism experience combining the pleasures of the table and tastings during tapas evenings, Sunday brunches and guided tours. New swimming area at Parc régional éducatif Bois de Belle-Rivière
For the summer season, the parc régional éducatif Bois de Belle-Rivière is pleased to announce its new swimming area, the Naya pool. This swimming area, located in the great outdoors, is integrated into a one-of-a-kind bucolic setting. The pool includes an inspiring waterfall, access for mobility-impaired persons and a children’s area. The entire space is also part of a picnic area and includes two water features and a play area for children. This natural setting will appeal to all members of the family for the beautiful summer season.

Arc-Attaque is an archer combat company located in Parc du Domaine Vert in Mirabel and promoting a concept that has never been tried elsewhere in Canada. Parc régional de la Rivière-du-Nord host to the Relay For Life Event
The park is proud to support the fight against cancer by hosting the Relay For Life of the Rivière-du-Nord RCM for the first time on Friday, June 15, 2018. The event will be held around the duck pond, with the theme ”Light up life for one night”. The magic will happenin the great outdoors from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. It will be a night to make a difference! In addition, a new double obstacle course will be set up near the water feature over the course of the summer. Come boost your fitness and challenge your friends. Boulangerie GaRou
Boulangerie GaRou makes a wide variety of irresistible breads and pastries. You’ll find ready-to-eat products, fresh home-cooked items, soups, salads, sandwiches and much more. All bakery products are made with preservative-free organic flour, and nearly all are egg- and dairy-free. There are two locations to better serve you: Saint-Canut and Saint-Jérôme.
MégaMaze amusement centre
Located by Highway 15 in Saint-Jérôme, MégaMaze is the largest family amusement centre in Québec. You will find mazes for 0- to 5-year-olds with playground equipment and slides, a huge maze for 3- to 12-year-olds, and a gigantic trampoline area. There are more than 10 rooms for private parties and a mezzanine for group receptions. A candy bar with over 150 kinds of candy and a snack bar are on site.

Les Croisières Alouette invites you to their Trolleybus
For summer 2018, Les Croisières Alouette will again offer guided city tours in their magnificent Trolleybus. New: Add an hour-long hike on the trails of Camping Sainte-Agathe to your 45-minute guided city tour. ($20/adult). Par Monts et Vals–Inter-Municipal Trails
This hiking trail connect the village cores of the municipalities of Ivry-sur-le-Lac, Lantier, Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Sainte-Lucie-des-Laurentides, Val-David, Val-des-Lacs and Val-Morin. While exploring the Par Monts et Vals trail, you will experience mountain summits, marshes, old-growth trees, lakes, beaver dams, rock formations and many other natural attractions.

A Disc Golf course in Nominingue
The fitness trail in Parc le Renouveau Rosaire-Sénécal has been revamped. The trail now includes 14 fitness features, and access is free. In addition, a brand new 18-hole disc golf course is now open. The municipality has also set up a pickleball court for this growing sport in Québec. A new site for Les Sommets Gourmands
After 4 successful years in Tremblant, this huge festival for active epicureans will move to Saint-Sauveur for its 5th year. From September 20 to 23, Les Sommets and the Saint-Sauveur Valley will be bustling: activities, trade fair exhibitors, work-shops, demonstrations, tastings and much more await visitors to inspire them to eat, drink, and get active.Visit Les Sommets Gourmands.
Vikings at Du Coq à l’Âne des Laurentides farm
For the 3rd year, the farm will host the Fête agricole et médiévale on August 25 and 26. Vikings, gladiators, artillerymen and women, historical reenactment camps, combat shows, various craftsmen, blacksmith and wool-working demonstrations, food and regional products await you in Huberdeau. First-Ever Crossroads Tremblant Event
This new road and mountain bike festival will be held from May 25 to 27. The event brings together lovers of paved routes, mountain trails and bike paths who want to take on a challenge, share their passion and have some good times. The Tremblant Resort, site and host of the festival, will beat to the rhythm of pedal strokes for three days. On the program, among other things: recreational ride on the “P’tit Train du Nord” linear park, electric bike test track and the Peppermint Bikefest–an exclusive day organized for women, by women who know bikes. Le Festival International Hautes-Laurentides celebrates its 20th anniversary!
From July 5 to August 5, under the artistic direction of violinist Alexandre Da Costa, the festival will offer a broadly diverse season with, of course, classical music, but also pop, country and electronic shows. Irvin Blais will be at Mont-Laurier, Bruno Pelletier will give a concert in Mont-Tremblant, and DJs Topium will be at Rivière- Rouge to make you scream!
